Dr. James Cassidy is a NJ licensed forensic psychologist. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and went on to obtain a Master’s and doctoral degree from Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology. He has a wide-range of professional experiences including working with perpetrators and victims of sexual abuse and high conflict families.
Dr. Cassidy has expertise in the area of childhood sexual abuse, high-conflict families, sex offender risk assessment, and child custody. He has served as an expert witness in numerous child custody cases.

Dr. Cassidy has been conducting evaluations and assessments for over 20 years. He is trained to provide impartial and accurate assessments of complex family dynamics. He also brings a broad experience in forensic psychology to the expert witness role. Dr. Cassidy has been utilized as an expert in a variety of legal contexts including those involving sex offender risk assessment, child custody and parental alienation, psychological fitness for duty, and personal injury litigation.

Dr. Cassidy practices as an engaged psychodynamic therapist, blending cognitive and behavioral strategies with elements drawn from Mindfulness and Family Therapy. He provides support to individuals, couples, and families navigating through challenges or seeking self-discovery and enhanced communication.
